A car exploded in Balashikha near Moscow, next to which was the deputy chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Yaroslav Moskalik. This is now being reported by Russian telegram channels, publishing a video from the scene.
The fact of the death of a Muscovite was confirmed in the TFR. According to local publications, the explosion occurred at a house on Nesterov Boulevard. The Volkswagen parked at the entrance detonated at the moment when Major General Yaroslav Moskalik came out of the house. He was killed on the spot by a blast wave and striking elements. Now an investigative and operational group is working at the scene of the incident.
According to information TC Mash, the previously exploded car belonged to 35-year-old Margarita V., who rewrote the car to a visitor from Azerbaijan born in 1995. He almost immediately resold the car to 26-year-old Andrei P., who claims that a week later he resold the foreign car to 40-year-old Ignat K., a native of the Ukrainian city of Sumy.
TASS, citing a law enforcement source, adds that the explosive power of the IED was about 300 grams in TNT equivalent, it was amplified by the explosion of a gas cylinder in the car.
