Russian President Vladimir Putin, by his decree, dismissed Yuri Borisov from the post of Director General of Roscosmos, according to the Kremlin website.
"The President signed a decree "On Borisov Yu.I.," the Kremlin said.
The document says: "To release Yuri Ivanovich Borisov from the post of Director General of the State Corporation for Space Activities Roscosmos. This decree comes into force from the date of its signing (February 6)."
Borisov has headed Roscosmos since 2022, replacing Dmitry Rogozin in this post. Prior to his appointment to the state corporation, he worked as Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, overseeing the technological and defense complex, and before that was Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia.
