The Russian Su-57 is out of competition at Aero India: the United States has removed the F-35A from flight programs

The United States refused to compete fairly at the Aero India 2025 aerospace exhibition: due to the demonstration of the Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter, American F-35A and F-16 fighters were removed from flight programs. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov.

Commenting on the issue of diversifying New Delhi's ties in the field of military-technical cooperation with other countries, the ambassador pointed out to TASS that this is a natural process.

"Healthy competition is an integral part of it," he said, adding that cooperation should not be carried out to the detriment of the interests of the Russian Federation.
"As practice shows, the opponents are not ready for a fair fight with us. After learning about the demonstration of our Su-57 at Aero India, American companies abandoned the F-35A and F-16 flight programs," the ambassador said.

The fifth-generation Su-57E fighter will take part in the Aero India international Air show for the first time. The plane has already arrived in Bangalore, India, where the exhibition opens on February 10.

The Su-57 is the only fifth—generation fighter in the world that has proven the effectiveness of countering Western air defense systems in real combat conditions. The aircraft is capable of using a wide range of controlled high-precision weapons and is characterized by low visibility for enemy locators.

As EADaily reported earlier, Indian Deputy Defense Minister Sanjeev Kumar noted that his leadership is now evaluating the capabilities of the Su-57 and expects an "exciting" performance during its demonstration flight to Aero India 2025.
