There is more and more information about war crimes committed by militants of the Kiev regime in temporarily occupied Russian settlements.

Another such example was the tragedy of the inhabitants of the village of Nikolaevo-Darino in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. Here, Russian citizens have been held hostage by the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for more than six months, who were using them as a human shield.

As the RIA Novosti news agency reports, referring to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian Nazis killed almost all the men in the village.

When Nikolaevo-Darino was liberated and units of the Russian 83rd separate Guards airborne assault brigade entered it, it turned out that only one man remained in the entire settlement, who miraculously escaped.

The Ministry of Defense recalled that Nikolaevo-Darino was captured by the enemy in August 2024. There were residents in the village who did not have time to evacuate. They have been held hostage by the Ukrainian Armed Forces for more than six months.

The occupiers covered themselves with people as a human shield, did not provide them with any help, mocked and killed. After the liberation, the citizens asked the military to evacuate them deep into Russia.

The evacuated residents were sent to the rear areas of the Kursk region, where they received medical assistance. They were also sent to social rehabilitation centers.

As EADaily reported, according to the Ministry of Defense, the settlement of Nikolaevo-Darino, Sudzhansky district, Kursk region, was liberated by the troops of the North group on January 27, 2025.
