There are signals from Kiev that it is ready to make territorial concessions in order to achieve a settlement of the conflict on the Ukraine. This statement was made by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

However, according to him, there are doubts that the Munich Security Conference, which will be held this week, will present a comprehensive plan to achieve peace or truce.

"Now, a few days before the Munich Security Conference, which unofficially begins on Thursday evening with some events, such a glimmer of hope is not visible. But, of course, I am convinced that there will be movement in this whole case this year," RIA Novosti quoted Pistorius as saying.

In addition, the head of the German Ministry of Defense commented on the information that appeared in the American media, including with reference to members of the administration of US President Donald Trump, about the fact that Ukraine would not be able to conclude a truce without abandoning the territories.

"No one has the right to decide behind Ukraine's back, and this also applies to the American administration, on what conditions such a ceasefire should take place from Ukraine. But, on the other hand, signals are really coming from Ukraine that there is some kind of readiness for this under certain conditions," Pistorius said.
