Honored Artist of Russia, theater and film actor Mikhail Efremov faces imprisonment in a punishment cell for finding a smartphone. This is reported by the Shot telegram channel.
"The Federal Penitentiary Service for the Belgorod region began checking against IK-4 employees after the incident with the smartphone," the publication says.
Currently, interviews are being conducted with those who entered the barracks and crossed paths with Efremov in recent days, including guests of the colony and employees.
"The actor himself is planned to be punished for violating the regime — he will probably be sent to solitary confinement for 3-10 days, since this violation is serious and not the first during his time in prison," the telegram channel claims.
As EADaily reported, earlier the SHOT telegram channel claimed that Efremov had applied for parole (parole) in a "secret format". Allegedly, it was supposed to be considered in the next two weeks. The artist cited a number of documents as grounds for early release. In particular, Efremov points out the state of health, reminds of daily work in the sewing workshop, speaks of repentance, assistance with amateur art activities in the colony and instilling in other prisoners a love of art.
On the eve it became known that the exit from the colony by Parole may fail, because Efremov was found to have a smartphone with the ability to access the Internet.
Recall, the Moscow court on September 8, 2020 sentenced Mikhail Efremov to eight years in prison for the death of a person in an accident. The court concluded that Efremov got behind the wheel drunk. Of the appointed term, Efremov served a little more than half, taking into account his stay in jail.
At the moment, Efremov has served about 4 years of the total appointed term.
