Two diplomats from the UK have been ordered to leave Russia within two weeks. This was announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry in its Telegram channel.
"The Russian Foreign Ministry, in cooperation with interested departments, decided to deprive Alkesh Odedra and Michael Skinner of accreditation, they were ordered to leave Russia within two weeks," the statement said.
Earlier, a representative of the British Embassy in Moscow was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with the withdrawal of accreditation of two employees for signs of intelligence activities.
Later, the FSB of Russia informed that in the course of counterintelligence work, the intelligence presence of Great Britain under the guise of the national embassy in Moscow was revealed. According to the intelligence service, "it has been reliably established that the second secretary of the Embassy Alkesh Odedra, born on 12/25/1990, and Michael Skinner, born on 30.06.1992, the spouse of the first secretary of the political department of the embassy Tabasum Rashid, who were sent to Moscow, deliberately indicated false data when receiving permission to enter our country, which violated Russian legislation." At the same time, the FSB of Russia revealed signs of intelligence and subversive work carried out by these diplomats, threatening the security of Russia.
