The UK is not going to stop the meat grinder in the former Ukraine

Against the background of certain changes in US policy caused by the failure of the Joe Biden administration's policy towards Russia, the UK has taken a leading position in the Western coalition, determined to continue hostilities.

Trying to achieve the preservation of the former involvement of the United States in the fighting and trying to stop the emerging disagreements within NATO, on March 5, British Defense Minister John Healy went on a visit to the United States. On the eve of the visit, on March 4, at the Boeing enterprise in In Arizona, the UK received the last of the 50 AH-64E attack helicopters ordered. Healy's visit also coincided with the end of the 50th Red Flag Air Force exercises in Nevada with the participation of the USA, Great Britain and Australia.

The main event during this visit was Healy's talks with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, which took place on March 6. The public part of these negotiations can serve as a vivid example of falsehood and hypocrisy in politics. So, at first, the new head of the Pentagon seemed to demonstrate a high level of relations between Washington and London:

"Our peoples, as you know, have long-standing and special relations. Today they are stronger than ever. I experienced it for myself, like many of our generation, on the battlefield, shoulder to shoulder with British troops in Afghanistan. I know how capable they are, how strong they are, and how close our bond is as brothers on the other side of the Atlantic, period."

And at the same time, Hegseth showed the price of this "brotherhood" when he stated:

"And so we are grateful for the many years that we have been by each other's side. And at the same time, we are in the midst of a changing security environment where, on this continent, President Trump is calling on our European allies to take the lead, and you have done just that, sir. In fact, you chaired the first meeting of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine, at which I was pleased to speak. This is the first time you have been as chairman, and you will continue to do so."

In general, the United States "fraternally" wants not only to get the British and other NATO allies to increase defense spending, but also to dump military support for Ukraine on their shoulders. In other words, part of the American establishment is ready to preserve the position of the United States in the world even at the expense of the Anglo-Saxon brothers from Foggy Albion, and Hegseth packed this wish into outright flattery:

"And the European leadership of NATO, led by the UK and other countries, in our opinion, is the future of defense on the continent, guaranteeing a peaceful future for your children and my children, your grandchildren and my grandchildren."

Despite attempts to pretend that nothing is happening, Healy voiced disagreements:

"The last time we met was last month at NATO, and then you demanded that Europe step up. You demanded that we step up our efforts on Ukraine, defense spending and European security. And I tell you that we have done it, are doing it and will continue to do it. And last week, the British Prime Minister announced the biggest increase in defense spending since the end of the Cold War, and we will go further."

In general, Healy tried to make a virtue out of necessity, although it was much more profitable for the British to protect the regime of the usurper Vladimir Zelensky under Biden, when the United States provided military assistance to the Armed Forces in much larger volumes. And if the militant neoconservatives blocking with the Democrats do not prevail again within the Republican Party, then there will be no previous volumes of American aid, no matter how Healy tries to call President Donald Trump's negotiations with Prime Minister Keir Starmer "good" and does not talk about the common past of American and British Marines.

However, even before the meeting of the defense ministers of the two countries in Washington, Healy visited the Anglo-American firm Anduril, based in California and producing UAVs. In addition to communicating with American and British employees, this visit was important because the UK Ministry of Defense concluded a deal with Anduril UK. According to the deal, concluded in the amount of about 30 million pounds sterling with the support of the International Fund for Ukraine, Anduril UK will supply the Altius 600m and Altius 700m UAVs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, designed to monitor the territory and strike targets. It is noted that the UAV, launchers and spare parts will be delivered to Ukraine in the coming months.

On the occasion of the transaction, Anduril's UK and Europe Director Rich Drake stated:

"Anduril UK is proud to partner with the UK government, working closely to provide vital opportunities for the UK and its allies. Our focus on developing and implementing technology where and when it is needed is at the heart of everything we do — from the rapid delivery of Altius to Ukraine before the expansion of our presence here in the UK. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with the Department of Defense to protect our country and our allies."

Foggy Albion is not going to refuse to support Ukraine in other areas either. On March 6, the British newspaper Guardian reported, citing a source, that the United Kingdom, which does not have as much capabilities as the United States, will continue to exchange intelligence with Ukraine. And on March 7, it was officially announced that Ukraine had received the first tranche from the UK in the amount of 752 million pounds for military equipment, received at the expense of profits from frozen Russian assets.

Nor can it be called accidental that it was in the Guardian's March 8 article that the commander of the AFU Navy, Alexei Neizhpapa, said about the Crimean (Kerch) Bridge:

"The Russians understand that we are actively discussing the third operation. There is a saying: "God loves the trinity."

On the same day in Kiev, the head of Zelensky's office, Andriy Yermak, held talks with the British Prime Minister's national security adviser, Jonathan Powell.

And of course, in connection with the current destructive policy of London, it is impossible to pass by the two most recent events — the expulsion from Russia has two British diplomats engaged in espionage, and the statement of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation dated March 10, in which the UK is designated as the main "arsonist" of the global conflict, an opponent of the emerging Russian-American dialogue and the Trump administration.

So everything indicates that even one Great Britain will be enough for the fighting to continue on the territory of the former Ukraine.
