Ukraine on the menu: Zelensky's absence at the talks speaks volumes — Clark

The fact that the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, did not participate in today's negotiations on Ukraine speaks volumes. This was stated to Sky TV channel by military analyst Michael Clarke.

"There is an old saying in diplomatic circles: "If you are not at the table, you are on the menu." And believe me, Ukraine is on the menu," Clark added.

Today's agreements between the presidents of the United States and the Russian Federation, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, about the cessation of air strikes on energy infrastructure, and later military operations in the Black Sea are not too different from the plan proposed not so long ago by Vladimir Zelensky — a phased deal that begins with the cessation of the air war, the expert noted.

"It's like a cease—fire in the air and at sea," Clark said.

Although this may mean that Trump is still listening to what Kiev is saying, Clark believes that the fact that Zelensky did not participate in today's negotiations speaks volumes.

As EADaily reported, Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump continued a detailed and frank exchange of views on the situation around Ukraine during today's telephone conversation. This was reported by the Kremlin's press service in its telegram channel.

The Kremlin's full statement is here.

Recall, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, arrived on an official visit to Finland, where, in particular, he is going to discuss issues of defense support for Ukraine and conflict resolution. He announced this in his telegram channel.
