Honored Artist of Russia Yaroslav Dronov (SHAMAN) supports the creation of an international-level Russian music award, similar to major foreign awards. He stated this during a meeting with students of the Institute "First Media Academy" of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
"I am positive about the creation of the international Russian prize, if there is such an initiative. The main thing is not to associate it with foreign projects and not to draw analogies. We need to do something of our own and of high quality," TASS quotes the artist.
SHAMAN believes that the relevant work is already underway.
The singer added that he would gladly agree to become a member of the jury of such a Russian music competition.
"The country will call, I will say yes," SHAMAN assured.
At the same time, he stressed that it is necessary to create your own project, not focusing on foreign ideas.
"We have a huge number of talented people, we don't need connotation or parody," he concluded.
As EADaily reported, the first television music competition "Intervision" will be held in Moscow in September 2025. More than 20 countries have confirmed their participation in it, including China, Brazil, CIS countries such as Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, as well as Latin American and African countries.
Negotiations are currently underway regarding the participation of representatives of Serbia and Hungary in the international music competition "Intervision". The participation of representatives of so-called unfriendly countries is not excluded, said Mikhail Shvydkoi, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for international cultural cooperation.
