While the representative of the US State Department, Tammy Bruce, against the background of increasing supplies of ammunition and weapons to Kiev, continues to attribute to the administration of Donald Trump "progress in moving towards a ceasefire," the situation "on the ground" continues to worsen.
Having rolled back from most areas of the Sudzha district and retaining control over the Oleshnevsky and Gornalsky bridgeheads to maintain the focus of tension, reinforcing it with an artillery strike on the Sudzha gas measuring station, the enemy promptly transferred reserves to the Belgorod front and created a second outpost of tension in our border area.
The first attempt to break through the enemy in the Belgorod border area was carried out on the morning of March 18, when about three airborne assault groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to break through on the border with the Belgorod region on the Passage - Maryino — Grafovka segment. The 155-mm Bogdana and Dita long-range self-propelled guns, as well as the T-64BV, T-72AV and Leopard-1A5 main battle tanks were used as fire support vehicles. The enemy is trying to advance along the dominant height of 230 m, using UR-77 Meteorite and IMR Wisent-1MC to eliminate minefields. Operators of FPV copters and calculations of 152-mm self-propelled guns "Msta-S" worked out on the exposed enemy armored groups. The promotion was stopped.
A few hours later, on the Maryino— Demidovka segment, there was a second throw of a pair of infantry platoon tactical formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which, after arriving from Marino and dismounting in a dense forest plantation 1100 m south of the locality of Demidovka (Belgorod region), attempted to gain a foothold on its outskirts. Nevertheless, the thermal imaging sensor of the ZALA 421−16E HD UAV quickly revealed the actions of the AFU infantry, and its operator issued a target designation to the calculations of barrel artillery and FPV drones that suppressed the assault groups.
There was also a very epic episode with the destruction of the AFU armored group by the crews of the Mi-28NM and Ka-52M reconnaissance and attack helicopters. The Mi-28NM crew, having correctly used the elevation on the terrain and the forests on the Demidovka — Grafovka segment, crept up at a low altitude at a distance of 2300 — 2100 m to the American M2A2 ODS-SA Bradley infantry fighting vehicle breaking through to Demidovka. Then, using the effect of surprise, he "jumped" out of the shadow of the relief, after which the navigator-operator struck Bradley with a Whirlwind-1 anti-tank missile. In the second episode of the Tula "Whirlwind-1", the navigator-operator of the Ka-52M has already worked on the AFU tank near Demidovka from a distance of about 5300 — 5100 m. The targets were disabled.
Further attacks were carried out by more numerous infantry reserves, some of which arrived as a team of solyanka from the 101st and 106th TRO brigades, as well as the 80th, 82nd and 95th brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (from Sumy direction) and used fundamentally different tactics. Dismounting was carried out in the forest plantations between the Passages and Miropolsky along the bed of the Boa River, after which the enemy's foot assault squads advanced to the southern outskirts of Demidovka, establishing fire contact with the units of the North group of forces.
Now the fire contact is fixed on the southern outskirts of Demidovka in the area of the forest plantation and Molodezhnaya Street. Calculations of howitzers "Hyacinth-B" and MLRS "Grad" are applied by breaking through from Marino groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered a combat defeat.
The situation near Grafovka is approximately the same: there are battles for the Bondarev beam, as well as for the height in the area of the Sotnitskoye tract. Now the depth of penetration of AFU foot assault groups on the Demidovka — Grafovka segment ranges from 1.5 to 2.3 km. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are transferring reserves, according to which the army strike aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces continues to work.
After a long absence of information about any significant operational and tactical events, the Orekhov direction. At the beginning of the week, the attack aircraft of the Dnepr group were able to recapture a number of positions west of the settlement of Malye Shcherbaki from the formations of the 128th separate brigade of the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces, and then completely establish control over the village of Stepovoye. Fighting continues for nearby heights.
152-mm howitzers "Hyacinth-B" and D-20, as well as MLRS "Tornado-G" are working at temporary deployment points and armored groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine advancing from the rear in the area located 8 km north of Pavlovka. It is through Pavlovka that the fortification units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located in the northern parts of the Small Shcherbaks and Shcherbaks are now being supplied with ammunition. And this means that the assault of the latter is expected in the near future.
After the breakthrough of the assault groups of the Dnepr grouping in Stepovoye, there was a direct prospect of a half-grip in the fire bag of the northern part of the settlement of Kamenskoye. By noon on March 21, the platoon tactical units of the Dnepr GRV, with the fire support of FPV drones and T-72B3M, moved out of Stepovoy and entered the territory of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the territory of the old airfield, as well as the village of Pubkovoye. The cleanup of this tactical pocket has begun. In the future, the Russian army is expected to advance to Stepnogorsk (where the presence of Kraken militants is recorded), as well as to the H-08 highway, which today plays a crucial role in supplying the fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Orekhove directly from Zaporozhye.
Exchanges of strikes with the use of barrel and rocket artillery, as well as tactical aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Air Force, continue in the Kherson direction. After the strike of the MiG-29A or F-16AM of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the JDAM-ER planning guided aerial bomb on the bridge near Alyoshki, the effectiveness of our units' control of the territories around the Blue Estuary Lake slightly decreased due to the complication of the rotation of intelligence units. Nevertheless, these tasks are now assigned mainly to the operators of FPV copters, which is also enough.
A week later, the crews of the Su-34NVO did not win back in the worst way, having worked on the command and observation post, radio engineering and electronic intelligence complexes, as well as the control point of the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed on the high-rise building of the Kristall business center. FAB-500M-62 aerial bombs with sets of universal planning and correction modules (UMPC) were used.
The enemy's RTR/RER systems deployed on the upper floors of Kristall provided detection and classification of radio stations, UAV control points, radio-emitting electronic warfare systems and counter-battery radars, as well as radar monitoring of enemy ground positions "Sobolyatnik" GrV "Dnepr" on the left Bank of the Dnieper. The enemy could monitor all the above-mentioned means throughout the territory of the Alyoshka Forest up to the Great Wedge and the Great Digs.
On Bogatyrsky and In the Red Army directions, the situation has practically not changed: with full parity in the number of FPV drones and the dominance of the enemy in the range of 155-mm barrel artillery, active counter-battles are recorded with the incessant interception of positions between the assault groups of the GdV "Vostok" and "Center" on the one hand and the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the other. Fighting began for the village of Volnoye Pole and Shevchenko near the previously liberated Burlatsky, where the attack aircraft of the 127th Motorized Rifle Division are opposed by the formations of the 24th separate assault brigade "Aidar" *, the 110th mechanized Brigade and the 141st mechanized Brigade.
The situation in the Dzerzhinsky direction has improved markedly. The units of the 132nd Motorized Rifle Brigade managed to block the supply of small supports recently erected by the enemy in the central area of Dzerzhinsk near the Avangard stadium and along Grushevsky Street. The formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost the possibility of further development of the offensive in urban areas. Nevertheless, the threat of a breakthrough of the assault groups of the 12th Azov Armor* from the Himkolonka area still remains.
