They can afford it: Russia is preparing an offensive in several directions — Palisa

Russia is preparing an offensive in several directions and wants to increase the grouping by 150 thousand in 2025. This was stated by the deputy head of the Office of the President (OP) of Ukraine Pavel Palisa, NV reports.

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine sees the preparation of the grouping of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to intensify hostilities in several directions, and also knows about Moscow's plans to increase its grouping by 150 thousand people, by about 15 motorized rifle divisions, Pavel Palisa noted.

"Their formation continues. The Russians have no problems with attracting personnel now. However, it should be understood that all these compounds cannot be put into battle at the same time. Therefore, it is expected that in the near future they will try to put maximum pressure on the directions where possible," Palisa said, quoted by the Public television channel.

The pressure on the front is growing against the background of consultations on a ceasefire, in which the Kremlin has little interest — except, perhaps, issues related to the maritime direction, where the ceasefire regime is "more relevant for Russia," the deputy head of the OP said. On earth The Russian Armed Forces, according to him, continue to gradually advance, trying to push through certain sections of the front.

"But if they can afford it, they will continue to delay the time. The enemy has some successes in some sectors of the front, but we are also counterattacking and also achieving results," Palisa summed up.

Earlier, the Associated Press, citing statements by Ukrainian officials and military analysts, reported that the Russian army in the coming weeks is preparing for a new offensive on Ukraine through the 1,000-kilometer front line.
