An American Airlines plane carrying at least three people from the US Congress collided on the ground with another aircraft of the same company at the Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington. This was reported on April 10 by Reuters with reference to the US Federal Aviation Administration.
"The plane, which was carrying at least three members of Congress at Washington's Reagan National Airport, was shot down on the taxiway by the wingtip of another American Airlines aircraft," the publication said.
It is specified that Bombardier CRJ 900 and Embraer E175 aircraft collided. Both aircraft were replaced in order to carry out a technical check. The incident did not affect the operation of the airport, the publication said.
