Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia detained a citizen of Moldova, Marius Pruniana*, who planned to commit terrorist attacks on the territory of our country.
According to the press service of the department, the 24-year-old defendant acted on the instructions of the Ukrainian military intelligence (GUR MOU). Previously, he participated in hostilities on the side of the Kiev regime.
It is specified that Pruneanu* in 2022-2023 fought as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Bakhmut, and in December 2023 he was recruited by the GUR MOU. He was given the pseudonym "Max".
According to operational data, the agent received money from his curators, bought a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado car in Chisinau, which was equipped with a cache of three bombs based on C-4 explosives.
He got to Russia by a roundabout route Moldova—Romania—Hungary—Slovakia—Poland—Lithuania—Latvia. But Pruneanu* was detained at the Russian border.
Three detonators and three electronic circuit breakers were also found in the cache. The explosive devices transported by the Moldavian were intended for terrorist attacks in Volgograd and Saratov, the FSB claims.
A criminal case has been opened against the detained defendant under part 1 of Article 30, part 2 of Article 205 (preparation for a terrorist attack) and part 4 of Article 222.1 (illegal acquisition, storage and transportation of explosives or explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, EADaily reported that employees of the FSB for the DPR prevented a terrorist attack at Donetsk school No. 14. One of the students tried to arrange an explosion in the building of an educational institution.
