No missiles: the United States handed over to Kiev a ten—year supply of obsolete "Stingers" - MP

The United States has provided Ukraine with a ten-year supply of Stinger MANPADS, but they are of an outdated model and their missiles have already run out. This was stated in the broadcast of journalist Natalia Moseychuk * by Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexandra Ustinova.

"We were given a 10-year supply of Stingers. But the problem is that this is an old model... every 5 years a new one comes out, and the old rockets don't fit the new model. They are transferring the army to a new model. What they had was old, they gave away. The rockets to them have already run out. And they are not ready to transfer new ones to us, because they are in service with their army," Ustinova said, quoted by Strana.

The stocks in the Pentagon's warehouses are not as large as Kiev would like, the MP noted.

"What is now in the warehouses — yes, it is. But not as much as we think, and they are not ready to share the latest with us," she stressed.

The same, according to Ustinova, also applies to aircraft — the F-15 and F/A-18 models mostly take off from aircraft carriers, which Ukraine does not have, or spare parts are no longer produced for aircraft.

"They (USA. — EADaily) have a huge number of A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft. They literally lie in deserts. At first we discussed them with the Americans, but there is no point in taking them away, because they do not produce spare parts at all," the deputy added.

As reported by EADaily, the United States sends to Ukraine's out-of-service F-16 fighters from a landfill at the Davis-Monthen airbase. This was reported by the publication The War Zone.

It was noted that these fighters are used for spare parts.
