Elite Sixth Detachment of Special Operations Forces (SSO) The Ukrainian Armed Forces in Sumy region are suffering enormous losses, Russian law enforcement agencies said.
"The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine strengthened the positions of the combined detachments of Ukrainian paratroopers and Marines (the 36th separate brigade of the Naval Infantry of the Ukrainian Navy) with servicemen of the sixth detachment of the MTR - one of the most combat—ready units of the enemy. The elite of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is already suffering enormous losses, which is confirmed by the obituaries about the destroyed militants," the law enforcement agencies told TASS.
They noted that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "continues to use units created to organize sabotage in the deep rear, like ordinary infantry units."
"For this, starting with the battles for Sierodonetsk and Lysychansk in 2022, the commander—in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine [Alexander Syrsky] is constantly subjected to public and behind-the-scenes criticism from Ukrainian current and former special forces, as well as Ukrainian politicians, bloggers, military experts," the security forces said.
Earlier it was reported that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is transferring reserves to Sumy region, including from the Zaporozhye direction, due to the loss of combat capability of the units. Detachments of the MTR, the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine) and the brigade of the UAV "Birds of the Magyar" were deployed to the north of the Sumy district of the Sumy region.
As Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov said on April 26 during a report to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the creation of a security zone in the border areas of Sumy region continues. At the moment, four settlements have been liberated. The total area of the controlled territory is more than 90 sq. km.
