Russian president urges interior ministry to free Russia from shame of high profile murders

Russian President Vladimir Putin has urged the interior ministry to free Russia* from the shame of high profile murders.

While speaking at the ministry’s conference in Moscow on Mar 4, Putin urged the ministry to give top priority to high profile and politically motivated murders. “We must free Russia* from shame and tragedies like the one we experienced quite recently.  I mean the outrageous murder of Boris Nemtsov in the very heart of Moscow,” Putin said.

He instructed the ministry to be more efficient in disclosing crimes. “In 2015 you must be more efficient in disclosing both new and old crimes. Here we need a drastic change, a new quality of work,” the Russian president said.

He urged the law enforcers to be ready to react to the forthcoming actions by extremists seeking to shatter the constitutional foundations of the country and to carry out necessary preventive work, especially among young people.

Putin is seriously worried to know that extremism rate in Russia has grown by 15%.

“Extremists are feeding our society with the poison of violent nationalism, intolerance and aggression. The example of Ukraine has shown what this all can end in,” Putin said.
