Belousov announced the creation of groups of troops "Belgorod", "Kursk" and "Bryansk"

Groups of troops "Belgorod", "Kursk" and "Bryansk" will be created in Russia. This was announced today, August 20, by Defense Minister Andrei Belousov at a meeting of the Coordinating Council for Military Security of Border Areas.

According to him, the requested number of quadrocopters, anti-drone guns and drone detectors, wearable electronic warfare equipment, small-sized power plants, ATVs, as well as thermal insulation capes have already been delivered to the Kursk region. Receiving radio stations, radio interference complexes and drone countermeasures for the Bryansk region is under the control of a special task force to collect, analyze and route issues at the National Defense Control Center.

Belousov noted that the areas of responsibility of each member of the Coordinating Council from the Ministry of Defense have been identified.:

Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Lieutenant-General Andrei Bulyga is responsible for logistics, transport and assistance to civilian authorities during the evacuation of citizens; Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexei Krivoruchko - for military technical support (armament, special and military equipment); Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Pavel Fradkov — for engineering and construction; Deputy Minister of Defense RF — Chief of Staff Defense Ministry Oleg Savelyev — for interdepartmental interaction and coordination; Head of the Main Military Medical Directorate Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Dmitry Trishkin — for medical care.

The representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the commanders of the Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk groupings are responsible for protecting citizens and territories from attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles and other means of attack. Colonel-General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov has been appointed Deputy head of the Coordination Council.
