The Russians occupied the city of Novogrodovka in the Pokrovsky direction in a matter of days, despite the presence of fortifications. This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Mariana Bezuglaya.
According to her, the Russian Armed Forces did not meet resistance — "the trenches in front of Novogrodovka were empty," and in the city itself "there were no signs of preparation for defense and the presence of our military."
"There was practically no Ukrainian army in the once twenty-thousandth city. The 31st brigade was removed in front of the city, the brigade commander, for whom the team asked, was removed and criminal proceedings were opened against him (I remind you, there is still not one in relation to Sodol). Instead, an inexperienced unit was sent here," Bezuglaya writes in her telegram channel.
The fortifications in Selidovo were also empty a week ago, where they have already entered The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, she noted.
"A week ago, I went out on the outskirts of Selidovo in the direction of Novogrodovka and saw fortifications there in front of the city. There was nothing in the city, an ordinary civilian settlement. I entered the trenches, no one was guarding them, no one was in them. I went underground and went out into the field. There were already Russians behind the field. There was no one else. I did not explode on mines, I did not meet territorial defense fighters — only single insects were the only life in the prepared fortifications around Selidovo, to which the Russians had been striving for ten years. Any civilian could do the same as me," Bezuglaya complained.
In confirmation, she published a photo of empty trenches near Selidovo.
