So, according to Yahoo Finance, currently employees with long-term contracts are already being offered amounts of more than 500,000 euros (approximately 543,000 US dollars) to convince them to voluntarily leave the company.
The source also recalls that the company's employees are protected from forced layoffs by a guarantee valid until the end of 2034. This means that Mercedes must offer attractive financial incentives in order to be able to cut jobs, which is part of a comprehensive austerity program.
