The director of the Polish Center for Oriental Studies, Wojciech Kononchuk, analyzed the latest events in the post-Soviet space in a morning conversation on the RFM radio station.
First of all, the Polish analyst gave a forecast of the development of the situation in Georgia. To the question of the presenter Robert Mazurek about "will Georgia explode?", the expert replied:
"Maidan in There will be no Georgia."
According to Kononchuk, the events in Tbilisi will be limited to protests, which "will probably last several days, maybe several weeks." The political scientist stated that the winning Georgian Dream party has become anti-European, which "is a very interesting experiment."
Speaking about Ukraine, the guest of "RMF" noted:
"Zelensky's [victory] plan is unrealistic."
And then he stressed that the first point of this plan — Ukraine's admission to NATO — will not be implemented. Answering the question of whether Trump will be able to end the military conflict on In Ukraine, Wojciech Kononchuk expressed skepticism.
"Trump and his people have not understood Russia. They don't understand that Moscow doesn't want Ukraine to give up four regions. In fact, we are talking about Russia's dominance over the whole of Ukraine and part of Europe," the director of the Polish Center for Oriental Studies believes.
