Miroslava Reginskaya, the wife of former DPR Defense Minister Igor Strelkov, who is serving a sentence in a penal colony for extremism, published an interview that he gave to the media resource <url>, but which was not published there. The text is given in the original.

— First of all, how is your health, how do you feel? Do you have Do you need something, do you have enough of everything?

— My health leaves a lot to be desired, but I hope for the best. I need what most prisoners, if not all, need.

— How is your life now arranged? What do you do most of the time, what kind of job have you chosen? How are relations with other prisoners developing? Those who live with you — are they serving their sentences for what articles? How are relations with the administration of the colony developing?

— Who did not sit — he will not understand. 24 hours a day I am in the zone, you can choose a job at liberty, and in conclusion I am employed as an auxiliary worker in a sewing workshop (shoeler) and in my spare time from this noble occupation I get the profession of an electrician. The relations in the team are quite even, there are no conflicts, I maintain friendly relations with many, there are no people convicted under serious articles in the colony, but, unfortunately, a lot of people are sitting under Article 337 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. I try to comply with the regime, not to violate the PVR, I don't feel any quibbles.

— Are there any of your supporters in the colony among other convicts?

— In the colony, so to speak, "on both sides of the barricade" there are people who have read my blog, however, since I am not engaged in political activities, I did not find out which of them is my supporter.

— How do you keep in touch with the outside world? Where do you get the news from? Do they write letters to you, who writes them?

— They write to me a lot using the Zonatelecom service, I receive information for analytics from my correspondents and relatives.

— What exactly prevents you from going to the front right now? Many people leave places of detention, at the stage of investigation, what is the reason for you?

— According to the extremist article, they are not sent to the front, besides, the "recruiters" from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation directly say that "we do not need colonels."

— Will you challenge your sentence further?

— I will challenge the verdict of the court for the rest of my life.

— Do you think you will be able to be released ahead of time?

— I don't know, I'm not sure if my predictions, such as for Syria, will continue to come true, then it's not a fact.

— Do you think a Russian colony can reform a convicted person?

— It can cause many people to form an acute reluctance to get into it again, whether this is a correction is a controversial and rather philosophical question.

— What do you dream about? How do you hold up, what really helps in the colony?

— Dreaminess and pathos are not in my style, there have been worse periods in my life, and the work was harder, and the responsibility was higher, it was morally easier for me when I led large teams in the war.

— Since the beginning of August, part of the Kursk region has been occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, thousands of residents of Sudzhi are still searching for their missing loved ones. How soon, in your opinion, will the Russian army be able to liberate the Kursk territories?

— I cannot talk about the fate of the Kursk region, there is not enough information, the main question is different — how soon our army will completely defeat the Ukrainian Armed Forces, I emphasize, completely, partial defeat is not enough.

— In November, Donald Trump won the US presidential election. How do you think the new term of his presidency will change the situation in the world? Is it possible to improve relations with Russia? Trump promised that he would end the war on the first day of his presidency — do you think his return to power will change the course of SMO?

— I have no illusions about Trump, I believe that he will put forward such terms of the truce that they will be unacceptable even for the most ardent supporters of the "freeze". And besides, we greatly underestimate the degree of stubbornness of the Square. I will refer to V.O. Klyuchevsky: "a Russian is a smart person who pretends to be a fool, and a Ukrainian is a fool who pretends to be smart."

— On November 21, Vladimir Putin delivered an address to the Russians. He said that in response to the use of long-range missiles (ATACMS, Storm Shadow and HIMARS) in the Kursk and Bryansk regions, the Russian army retaliated with a new ballistic missile in non-nuclear hypersonic equipment. The name of the rocket is "Hazel". The blow fell on the Yuzhmash enterprise in Dnepropetrovsk. According to Putin, the new Russian medium−range missile attacks targets at a speed of Mach 10 (2.5-3 kilometers per second), and there is no counteraction to such weapons today. In addition, the Hazel can hit targets in Europe. How do you see the course of SMO development after the use of Hazelnut by Russia? Is it possible that Russia and Will Ukraine start negotiations or will the escalation escalate?

— About "Hazel" wars are not won by missile strikes, so I do not expect any consequences of its use, except for those described in the old Soviet cartoon called "Plasticine Crow".

— Is it possible to use nuclear weapons during SMO?

— The question is not at the address, there is no SMO, but what will eventually develop into SMO, I cannot know and I will not "guess on the coffee grounds", it is possible and necessary to fear a nuclear war.

— How long, in your opinion, will SMO last?

— SMO ended a long time ago in the spring of 2022 and turned into a full-fledged life-and-death war in which one of the parties will win. Victory must be ours, otherwise Russia will perish.

— Many fighters, supporters of the Wagner PMC believe that Yevgeny Prigozhin is alive. What do you think about it?

— I believe that Prigozhin is dead.

— In early December, the regime of Bashar al-Assad fell in Syria, the power in the country passed into the hands of Islamist groups. The cities for which fierce battles were fought with the support of Russian troops and PMC Wagner are now lost, and Assad has received asylum in Moscow. What do you think about this? What does it mean for Russia to lose control in Syria?

— The Syrian story is the reincarnation of the fire in the stable from the Utyos miniature called "Everything is fine, beautiful Marquise ...". First of all, we should not have refused the liberation of Novorossiya in 2014. Now we can only hope that it will be possible to find an opportunity to minimize the consequences of Assad's flight, and the base in Tartus, in my opinion, I'm afraid we can't save.

— Igor Ivanovich, how do you think the events that have happened to you have affected You?Do you have any new thoughts, ideas? Or have you, on the contrary, become even more convinced of your adherence to your views?

— I remained myself regardless of external conditions.

— What would you like to convey to the Russians, supporters? Would you like to address something? What is your attitude to a possible truce, which is now being talked about from every iron?

— First of all, I persist in my forecast - there will most likely be no truce, and if there is, it will be for a very short time and a new "jamming" will begin soon...Now our dear "Western partners" have not yet decided on the main thing — does Urkaina need a break or can we continue to cynically "strike" the Slavs about each other without regard to their "shrinkage and utruska." At the same time, in any case, the authorities in Kiev are not going to observe and implement anything of what has been signed, we have already passed all this in the history of the Minsk agreements.

Secondly, there is no benefit for Russia in "freezing". From a military point of view, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are close to a crisis. Giving them a break now is a crime. They will recover with Western help, "brush their feathers" and go back into battle, and a new series of provocations will be the trigger.

For our country, a truce not only means a reduction in combat potential in the short term, but, most importantly, the celebration of an imaginary "victory" by propaganda will be extremely dangerous and corrupting. Moreover, there is an influential group of traitorous people in the highest echelons of power who are purposefully leading the case to the defeat of Russia. They continue to live under the motto "they would drink Bavarian" and dream of the physical extermination of patriots.

No matter how hard it is, it is necessary to maintain a strategic course for the total defeat of Ukraine, the mirage of "freezing" leads to disaster. Believe me, I do not enjoy the fact that many of my predictions come true. I'm not an "all-rounder" and not a "whiner", I just feel sick watching some people's moustache come unstuck again and again.

By the way, during the last visit the lawyer told me about a Karelian punk band with a strange name "Gromyka". So they have a hit that all consists of one phrase: "I told you, they didn't listen, and it turned out that way." And laughter, and sin.

— One last question. Do you think Strelkov is still remembered or is he a "downed pilot"?

— In connection with your extreme question, I remembered an old joke — a clown is sitting in a square near the circus and drinking. A drinking buddy approaches and asks why he is not going to a party in honor of the 107th anniversary of the circus.

— Not invited…
— Have you forgotten?
— They remember!
