The photo of the People's Artist of Russia, State Duma deputy Dmitry Pevtsov was removed from the wall of the Lenkom Mark Zakharov Theater. The artist announced this in his telegram channel.

"Today, on January 14, 2025, my photo was removed from the wall in the lobby of Lenkom. Finally, after almost two months of uncertainty, clarity has come: the state—funded cultural institution Lenkom Mark Zakharov Moscow Theater no longer needs my services," the artist wrote.

"Officially, of course, no one will tell me about it. Well, that's how it happened with us," Pevtsov added.

In the video, he says that the last time he appeared on the stage of the theater was on November 24, 2024.

"A year ago, and yesterday, and today I have the time, energy and desire to play on stage. Therefore, all the questions, why and why, are not for me," the actor emphasized.

Pevtsov said that he never ceases to be an artist and invited him to his next performances and performances.

In a letter of thanks to his colleagues, Pevtsov clarified that he had been working in Lenkom since 1991.

"Lenkom is in my heart forever," the artist concluded.

As EADaily reported, back in 2023, Pevtsov stated that the Lenkom Theater ceased to exist after the death of artistic director Mark Zakharov. With the change of management, the theater has become completely different, the artist has ceased to feel the institution as his home.

He said that he was very glad to be "not there" now, continuing to play in several performances, mainly in "Juno and Maybe."

Then Pevtsov shared that if it weren't for deputy work, concerts and movie offers, he would have been "very bad."
