"This is not serious!": Lavrov drew attention to Biden's "theatrical effects"

Joe Biden's administration has caused enormous damage to relations between Russia and the United States. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

The minister commented on Biden's statement, who, summing up the results of his presidency, compared himself with Vladimir Putin, boasting that it was he who was with Zelensky in the center of Kiev, and not Putin. As if the Russian leader has achieved this or will not achieve it in the future.

"If a politician of such a level as the president of the United States makes estimates of his own term at the head of a powerful power based on theatrical effects: "Here I was in Kiev, Putin was not there." Probably, it can be concluded how seriously he approaches the performance of his duties," the Russian minister added.

The Russian Foreign Minister also noted that the Trump administration in its first term of office also caused serious damage to the dialogue with Moscow, largely because of Obama's "legacy" by closing Russian representative offices and expelling diplomats.

"They put our relationship in a position of not the best start. And we see that now the Biden administration is trying to do the same," the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
