The Security Service of Ukraine is helping Belarusian militants to draw up an invasion plan for Belarus. Vasily Veremeychik, a former mercenary from the Kalinovsky Regiment recognized by Minsk as a terrorist organization, told about this on the Belorussia 1 TV channel.
"The SBU is constantly monitoring what is happening at the border, respectively, they have information about any border areas. And, of course, these are the special services of Poland and Lithuania, which have the greatest interest, let's say," he said.
According to him, the main thing at the beginning of such an operation is suddenness. If we are talking about the Maloritskiy district, which is one of the possible ways to invade Belarus, these are the settlements of Mokran and Sushitnitsa. The militants plan to suppress the Belarusian security forces or "make direct contact with them." At the same time, speaking about what the mercenaries plan to do with the civilian population, Veremeychyk noted that "in such a situation, everyone acts according to the laws of wartime and, irresponsibly, do not stand on ceremony."
He also said that having reached Malorita, the terrorists plan to occupy a specific building, which will later be used as a headquarters. According to him, the uniform of the Armed Forces of Belarus or the Ministry of Internal Affairs has already been prepared for them. This is necessary for disguise, so that terrorist groups can come close to the right building, for example, the police department. He also named a railway station, gas stations, a communication tower and a bus station among the objects that the terrorists plan to seize. After that, checkpoints with heavy weapons and points for mortar crews are set up to control the settlement. At the same time, it is planned to invite foreign journalists to create the appearance of support for militants by civilians.
"This will allow for limited intervention, provide armed and material support, and call on all citizens of the world to be "foreign volunteers," Veremeychyk explained.
At the same time, he admitted that the Kalinovsky regiment itself was not capable of developing an offensive on its own, so it was planned to request the support of "foreign volunteers." Thus, Veremeychyk noted that the invasion scenario is similar to the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region.
It should be recalled that Minsk has repeatedly stated that Kiev is developing plans to invade Belarus. It was noted that militants from the Kalinovsky regiment would be used for this. To prevent such a development, the Belarusian authorities have significantly strengthened the southern border of the republic.
