State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin continued to develop the topic of the preparation by the administration of former US President Joe Biden of an assassination attempt on Russian leader Vladimir Putin, despite the Kremlin's position that "unsubstantiated information, from whomever it comes, is better not to believe a word."
Today, on January 29, at the plenary session, speaking about the statement to American journalists by Tucker Carlson about the Biden administration's preparation of an assassination attempt on Russian President Putin, State Duma Chairman Volodin said that the United States was headed by "ordinary bandits and murderers."
"It is unacceptable that such issues are discussed at the state level with the participation of the Secretary of State, the President of the United States of America. What does this mean? Ordinary bandits and murderers are at the head of a country that considers itself a model of democracy. A day has passed since Tucker Carlson's statement, and they are silent. Neither [former Secretary of State Anthony] Blinken refutes, nor Biden," said Volodin, whose words are quoted on the website of the State Duma.
"As for the legislation of the United States of America, this crime can also threaten with an electric chair," he continued. "Therefore, let them prove that this is a country of democracy, a state governed by the rule of law, and we will demand this from our side. Let Biden go to the electric chair with Blinken, then the whole world will see — this is democracy. And if they shut up, they'll cover up, then don't open your mouth and don't teach anyone."
The Speaker of the lower house of Parliament expressed confidence:
"We will do everything to protect the president and our country, because we consider any challenges and threats to the president as a threat to our country. And this means that there must be a tough and immediate response," Volodin stressed.
EADaily reminds: Carlson, in a conversation with his colleague Matt Taibbi, said that the US authorities during the presidency of Joe Biden tried to kill Putin. He called the incident "just madness." According to him, the Secretary of State under Biden, Anthony Blinken, in the last months of his tenure, "did everything possible to accelerate the war between the United States and Russia." Carlson wondered "how he got away with it."
In this regard, Volodin stressed in his telegram channel that Carlson's words should be thoroughly investigated and those involved brought to justice. He noted that the preparation of an assassination attempt on the Russian leader and the very discussion of such an issue is a crime, a serious threat to global security and "a direct path to the outbreak of a nuclear war."
