"Who is the USAID elbow?": Armenian grant-givers mourn and weep, because "the shop is closed"

Trump and Musk cut off USAID's oxygen supply. Elon Musk said that "USAID is a criminal organization, it's time for it to die." He added that the organization was run by a "bunch of radical madmen," and representatives of the Department of Management Efficiency (DOGE), headed by Musk, took control of the agency's offices, including access to its key systems, the Voice of Armenia newspaper writes.

The accusations against the organization are very different: from the allocation of grants to various NGOs so that they conduct lobbying work in the US Congress in order to achieve an annual increase in USAID funds, to funding research in the field of creating biological weapons, including COVID-19, indirect financing of opium production, pressure on American judges and prosecutors, and so on.…

The agency's connection with the CIA has been mentioned more than once. As one of the former leaders of the organization admitted, the idea was "to introduce agents into every kind of activity that we conducted abroad: government, volunteer, religious, any." In fact, USAID was an additional and weighty instrument of Washington's influence on state policy.

Today they are already openly saying that the agency has made a tangible contribution to the coups/revolutions in Haiti, Ukraine, Egypt... "A bunch of radical madmen" were walking on a grand scale.

In Armenia, since the republic gained independence, USAID has spent approximately $ 1 billion. For what? The de jure programs were, of course, different, but the essence, as in other countries, was to form public strata obedient to the West, "independent public groups", for which the existence of Artsakh (Nagorno—Karabakh — ed.) is a secondary issue, the loss of which can be quite tolerated if grants they continue to arrive regularly. These USAID-sponsored structures actively manifested themselves during the "velvet, nonviolent revolution of love and harmony."

After Pashinyan, under the pressure of his Western curators, recognized Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan, which led to the ethnic cleansing of the population of the ancient region, the head of the structure, Samantha Power, came to Armenia with charity programs and big promises.

Meanwhile, she tried herself in the art of cooking traditional Artsakh bread, and when she left, she got so emotional that she announced the imminent receipt of twenty million dollars so that the people of Artsakh would come to terms with the loss of their homeland.

"In cooperation with the USAID Congress and The State Department will provide Armenia with twenty million dollars to strengthen cyber security, border and energy security, as well as to further increase its sustainability," Samantha promised the "mad", according to the Mask.

But then Trump and Musk came to the White House, all projects are frozen, and Ms. Power, presumably, will have to look for another job that will help her forget about her contribution to the end of the history of one small mountainous region.

Musk's statements about the liquidation of USAID are a small tragedy for many of those Armenian NGOs that have been pursuing a pro—Western policy for years. Many Armenian recipients of grants from USAID have already been informed about the termination of funding from this month: the shop has closed.

And here's what the author of the Telegram channel "Comrade General" thinks about this:

"WHO IN ARMENIA CRIES THE LOUDEST AT THE WAKE BY USAID?

There is a lot of writing now about the panic of grant-eaters in connection with the unexpected destruction of USAID by the US president.

I think it's too early to rejoice. Other "interested parties" will take over some of the heckled programs — Mikhail Khodorkovsky* has already announced that he is ready to take on some of the anti-Putin people. Yes and Washington has not permanently "cut off" its "soft power". He will conduct an audit, adjust the sight, and return. But, of course, not to everyone. Gays and lesbians certainly don't get anything.

But the story of USAID, which is sad for the grant-eating public, has one very, very significant dimension, which is still almost indistinguishable. The USA has shown its entire clientele, even the most loyal and devoted, that it is dust underfoot. Her interests are unimportant, and her fate is the fate of a used condom.

We are not talking about corrupt journalists, bloggers and activists who were initially aware of the condom. We are talking about presidents, prime ministers and speakers of parliaments who still naively hope that their offshore and bitcoin accounts are a guarantee of their future.

But now the SVR of the Russian Federation reports that the United States is ready to merge Zelensky — to publish information about the appropriation by him and his team of $ 1.5 billion allocated for armaments; about the arms trade in Africa; about postscript and fraud in the troops.

If it were not for the instant nullification of USAID, this could be attributed to a propaganda trick. But now it's hard to believe that along with the "ball of worms", as Elon Musk called USAID, the participants of the cuts will also go to the landfill. Those who were pretty fucked up.

Let me remind you in this regard that shortly before Trump's inauguration, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan suddenly, for no apparent reason, thoroughly cleaned up his government (by sending SMS messages to officials and deputies about their resignation). Obviously, this could not have been agreed with the US Embassy. And the most likely meaning of semi—chaotic gestures and replacing the awl with soap is to cover up the traces of millions of USAID cuts.

In Yerevan, the tracks were covered up, and in They stayed in Washington. And someone else will have to answer to Trump for stealing American money. Someone so short, plyugavenky, big-eared, talkative and cunning.

It is they — all these Zelenskys, Pashinyans and other sandus — who are most worried about the sudden demise of USAID today."
