The main loser: Europe will have to pay for the Ukrainian conflict

Europe will suffer the main defeat in the Ukrainian conflict, since it will have to pay for its consequences, and the fate of Ukraine and the new order in the EU will be decided by the United States and Russia. This was stated at the pre—election event of the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice (SSV) party in Berlin by ex-diplomat to the UN and OSCE, MEP from this party Michael von der Schulenburg.

"This aggressive policy (to provide Ukraine with weapons. — Ed.), which we are conducting, will not lead to the fact that we will play any role in the future settlement of what Europe will look like. This is now the subject of negotiations between America and Russia. We will not play any role. We will only be treasurers," said Schulenburg, quoted by RIA Novosti.

Conflict on Ukraine, in his opinion, should have been avoided in its infancy through negotiations, now the result of this omission is that "the West has lost this war," although in German politics, contrary to reality, they are discussing the continuation of the conflict and the infusion of funds and weapons into it.

"It was not us who secured peace — not Germany and not the EU. Now we see that this is being done by someone from whom no one expected it — the American president will negotiate with the Russian president about peace at the Ukraine. And we will not be allowed to do this. When these two presidents meet, they will end this war based on their interests — the interests of the United States and Russia," said Schulenburg.

The West, and Germany in particular, as the main loser, will be assigned exclusively the role of those who will pay for the restoration of the "dysfunctional" state of Ukraine, which will put a burden on ordinary citizens, the politician added.
