The Foreign Minister in the transitional government of Syria, Asaad Hassan al-Shibani, speaking about the "positive signals" from Russia to restore relations between the two countries, again raised the topic of "the trauma inflicted on the Syrian people" and Damascus's desire to "get satisfaction."

Earlier, the Turkish edition of TRT reported that the Syrian Ministry of Defense refused a column of Russian military personnel who arrived from the Khmeimim airbase to be admitted to the fleet base in Tartus.

"There are positive signals [from Russia and Iran]. However, we want them to move into a clear policy," he said at the World Government Summit in Dubai.
"There are clear messages regarding respect for the new Syrian administration and the sovereignty of the Syrian people," the head of the foreign ministry of the Transitional government of Syria added.
"The problem of the Syrian people with Russia and Iran was their support for the [Bashar] regime Assad, but the problem was not in Moscow or Tehran. We welcome any relationship based on mutual respect and non—interference in each other's affairs," al-Shibani said, answering a question about how he sees Syria's future relations with Russia and Iran.
"As I have already said, the Syrian people have been traumatized <>. The restoration of relations should take place in such a way that the Syrian people will be satisfied," he said, according to TASS.

EADaily adds: the TRT publication reported the day before, on February 11, that a Russian convoy of 30 trucks with missile weapons, which moved out in the morning from the Khmeimim airbase, was stopped by military personnel subordinate to the new Syrian government. As a result, she was held at a checkpoint in Tartus for about eight hours, but permission was never received, the convoy was forced to return to Khmeimim.

According to TRT, the incident occurred against the background of recent statements by the head of the Defense Ministry of the transitional government of Syria, Murhaf Abu Kasra, that the preservation of Russian bases in the country would depend on whether it would benefit Damascus. The minister made it clear that Syria would like to receive a person who flew to Moscow after the overthrow of ex-President Bashar al-Assad. According to Kasra, the head of the Syrian government, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, raised this issue at a meeting with the Russian delegation at the end of January. At the same time, the issue of payment of compensation by the Russian side to Syria was raised. Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to comment on this information.
