"I think there will be a certain agreement on the potential loss of territory. But, look, you don't have to admit it," said Kellogg, quoted by the publication "Country".
The special envoy of Donald Trump recalled that the United States did not recognize the accession of the Baltic countries to the USSR.
"When the Soviet Union conquered the Baltic states, we never said that they own these countries. We said that they were simply under the domination (of the USSR. — Ed.)," he explained.
Therefore, the territorial issue should be looked at in the long term, "but this is part of the negotiations," the special envoy noted.
"We need a real stable peace that is actually guaranteed from the point of view that there is a security agreement between all parties that is long—term and very, very sustainable," Kellogg added.
