Negotiations between Russia and The United States will be held in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday without the participation of third countries. This was stated to journalists today by Presidential Aide for International Affairs Yuri Ushakov.
"The talks in Riyadh will be bilateral - between Russia and the United States," said Yuri Ushakov, quoted by TASS.
The parties will discuss how to start negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, Ushakov said.
According to him, Washington has not yet appointed a chief negotiator who could do business with Moscow.
It is possible that the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev will join the Russian delegation in Riyadh.
"Of course, the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Sergey Lavrov. — EADaily), I will be on our side, and Kirill Dmitriev may also join on economic issues," Ushakov added.
Negotiations between Russia and the United States on Ukraine will be held in Riyadh on Tuesday, February 18.
