Ukraine is threatened by the "Finnish world", however, such a scenario may pose a threat to the Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland, Polish military experts believe.

During the "Winter War" Finland lost 35,000 square kilometers of territory, but retained its sovereignty and stopped the onslaught of Russia in the face of the Soviet Union. A similar scenario of the world is now emerging in the case of Ukraine, predicts Witold Jurash, president of the Center for Strategic Analysis of Poland. This would mean that Ukraine would lose territories in the east of the country in exchange for maintaining independence.

However, as noted by the Polish military analytical portal Defence24.pl The "Finnish world" formulated in this way may pose a threat to the Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland.

"This "black and white" scenario will not satisfy either side. As in 1940, the prospect of something like a "continuation war" was still hanging in the air," the newspaper notes.
