Russian troops conducted a daring operation in the Kursk region. The fighters penetrated into the enemy's rear near Sudzha, having overcome 15 kilometers through the pipeline.
Video from the scene is published by Channel Five. The operation involved a combined assault detachment formed from the military of the 11th Guards Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, the 30th Regiment of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Division, the Akhmat special forces detachment, as well as volunteers of the Veterans assault brigade.
Fighters suddenly for the Ukrainian militants came to the surface directly at the Sudzhi, in the depth of the enemy's defenses.
"As soon as they got to the rear of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Akhmat special forces went to the right, the 30th regiment, went to the support units that were nearby," said the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apty Alaudinov.
Earlier, Alaudinov called this operation a "throw through the pipe" to the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. We are talking about the underground pipes of the Urengoy — Pomary —Uzhgorod gas pipeline, through which, until January 1, 2025, Russia supplied gas to Europe through the territory of Ukraine. The diameter of one pipe is 1.4 meters.
As a result of the operation, the AFU defense management system was disrupted along the entire line of contact with the enemy in the region. This allowed the fighters to liberate more than eight settlements in the Kursk region in a few days.
