The Ukrainian Federation criticized Watanabe's embrace with Russian gymnast Nikita Nagorny. The UFG also noted that the Japanese's visit to Moscow will not affect the issue of participation of Russians in the Olympic Games and the World Cup, as they are suspended by the decision of the European Gymnastics Congress.

Also, do not forget that Watanabe is the president of the gymnastics Federation. We had a reorganization not so long ago, after which the gymnastics federations merged, new leaders appeared. Why can't Watanabe come over for this? It's completely normal."

— There were no provocative questions. They asked us to write links to all the social networks and messengers where we are. The Ukrainian side is engaged in verification. Who received a refusal, they found some photos in social networks or something else.
