In the liberated settlements of the Kursk region, including the city of Sudzha, more than 100 people who were considered missing were found.
This was reported on March 13 by the RIA Novosti news agency, referring to the statement of the assistant to the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Yuri Mesinov.
"It is important that 90 percent of those we are taking out, and this is more than 100 people already, I don't know the figure for sure right now, but 90 percent are on our missing persons lists," he said.
The representative of the rescue department noted that for the relatives and friends of the found people, meeting with them will be a real holiday.
"That is, these families will now find their loved ones, imagine, these are all, not to know or see anything for more than six months. And now, can you imagine what a holiday it is," Mezinov said.
As EADaily reported, earlier the head of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the liberation of 24 settlements in the Kursk region over the past five days.
