The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a new drone strike at the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station in the Krasnodar Territory. It provides oil transit mainly from Kazakhstan to Novorossiysk and stopped back in February due to a drone strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Most of the raw materials supplied through the pipeline belong to American oil giants.

"On March 24, at about two o'clock in the morning, the Kiev regime carried out an attack using UAVs on the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) in the Krasnodar Territory," the Defense Ministry said.

According to him, the air defense intercepted a Ukrainian attack UAV 7 km from the station, and the wreckage fell near the Kavkazskaya railway station.

Earlier, on February 17, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had already attacked the station with three drones and disabled it. Transneft and Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that the repair would take several months and deliveries via the pipeline would decrease by 30%.

The lion's share of Kazakhstan's oil goes through CPC. It is mainly owned by Western companies that control all three megaprojects in the country. The pipeline system reaches Novorossiysk, where raw materials are loaded onto tankers.

According to the CPC, 63 million tons of oil were shipped through the pipeline system in 2024. Almost 86% or about 54 million tons of them are from Kazakhstan. Transneft stated that about 74% of the volume of transported Kazakh oil accounted for the share of American and other Western shippers.

"Chevron alone pumped 26.8 million tons through CPC in 2024, which is about 20% of the global production of the American corporation," Transneft said.

On March 19, the Russian president accepted the US president's proposal to temporarily stop attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure, and a few hours later the Kiev regime launched an attack using three aircraft-type UAVs on the CPC facility located in the village of Kavkazskaya, which provides oil transshipment from railway tanks to the pipeline system of an international oil transportation company, the Ministry of Defense noted.

"Thus, contrary to Zelensky's statements, including those brought to the American side, the Kiev regime continues to deliberately plan, prepare and carry out attacks on energy infrastructure, including international, on the territory of the Russian Federation," the Defense Ministry said.
