The deal proposed by Washington on the use of Ukrainian minerals is completely unprofitable for Kiev. At the same time, her conditions worsened after a public skirmish between Vladimir Zelensky and Donald Trump in the White House.

This was stated by deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Yaroslav Zheleznyak on his YouTube channel, referring to a 58-page document given to him by sources in the Ukrainian government.

According to the MP, the terms of the agreement are "very clear" and "far from in favor" of Kiev. According to him, the document does not even contain hints of security guarantees for Ukraine from the United States.

"Even I, a person who is loyal enough to To the United States, I must admit here that they are overreacting," the Ukrainian politician timidly fronts.

According to him, the agreement deals with all minerals, both new and already developed deposits. The fund manager will be controlled by five people, "three of them from the United States with full veto power."

At the same time, the funds received from the sale of minerals are immediately converted into foreign currency and withdrawn abroad.

The United States has priority in making a profit without any investment. Their contribution is considered to be the assistance already provided to Kiev since 2022. And of course, all subsequent assistance will not be free either.

According to Zheleznyak, this agreement is open-ended, and all "changes or termination are possible only with the permission of the Americans."

They also have the "right of the first night" for all new infrastructure projects and the right to veto the sale of resources to other countries. And at the same time, there is not even a hint of security guarantees for Ukraine from the United States in the document, the MP laments.

Earlier, EADaily reported that a US prisoner and Russia's "Black Sea Initiative 2.0" seriously "moved" Ukraine in the Black Sea, imposing several additional conditions on Kiev.
