The Ukrainian Armed Forces militants shot a man when he wanted to pick up groceries from home. The Investigative Committee of Russia continues to investigate the killings of civilians by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region.
"The circumstances of the murder of a civilian by Ukrainian servicemen in the village of Plekhovo, Kursk region, have been established," said Svetlana Petrenko, an official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee.
A resident of the village of Plekhovo, Sudzhansky district, told investigators that on September 13, 2024, her son, who wanted to pick up groceries from his house, was shot by Ukrainian militants.
"According to the mother's testimony, the body of the deceased man was found with multiple gunshot wounds and his hands tied. The woman also testified to military investigators that on August 9, 2024, Ukrainian servicemen who illegally invaded the territory of the Kursk region opened houses and garages, took out the belongings of local residents, as well as personal vehicles," the UK reports.
They noted that the criminal actions of the armed formations of Ukraine are qualified as a terrorist act and looting (paragraph "b" of part 3 of Article 205 and paragraphs "a", "c" of part 3 of Article 356.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
"The investigation will identify and bring to justice all representatives of the Ukrainian military involved in these crimes," the UK added.
