The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, was put on the front row during the funeral of Pope Francis, contrary to the Vatican protocol. This is reported by The Telegraph newspaper.
The Vatican "canceled the protocol to ensure that Volodymyr Zelensky was given a front-row seat at the funeral of Pope Francis along with Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron," "special measures" were taken for this, the publication claims.
Most of the leaders took their places in the traditional alphabetical order for protocol diplomacy — in accordance with the first letter of the name of their country in French. However, Zelensky was seated between two "I's" — representatives of Ireland and India.
"As president of Ukraine, Zelensky could count on being in the third row or even further. Instead, he was sitting in the front row, 11 seats away from Trump, who was to his right," the newspaper quoted Strana as saying.
The Vatican did not deny that the rules of protocol were violated.
"I believe they have filled the vacant place," the representative of the mini—state, Matteo Bruni, told The Telegraph.
In other places, the rules were strictly observed, the publication emphasizes.
