Tsarev: Who came to Crimea bulk carrier seized to disrupt the truce

The SBU seized a bulk carrier on the Danube, which was transporting grain from Moldova to Turkey, and passed by the Ukrainian shores. The vessel is accused of entering the Crimea. The seizure plan was developed in the UK to disrupt peace talks, writes Ukrainian politician Oleg Tsarev.

"And here are new data on another example of piracy, I mean the ship detained the other day by Ukraine. Ukrainian channels write that this is the bulk carrier Anka, which flies the flag of Tanzania. It was previously called Victoria, and the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine stated that the cargo ship at the end of 2024 removed more than 4.6 thousand tons of wheat from the port of Sevastopol. This seems to be his fault," Oleg Tsarev writes in the telegram channel.

He noted that at the time of the SBU's detention in the Danube River, the ship was carrying 5 thousand tons of grain from the Moldovan port of Gurgulesti to the Turkish port of Gemlik under the flag of one of the Asian countries.

"That is, it has nothing to do with Russia at the moment. The last recorded location of the bulk carrier is on the Danube near the Ukrainian port of Reni," the Ukrainian politician continues.

He believes that the plan was developed by the UK to guarantee the breakdown of peace negotiations.

"If Russia responds symmetrically, Ukraine will launch naval drones developed with the help of Great Britain and will start shooting down Russian merchant ships. If in response, start sinking merchant ships that go to Ukraine, then we must always remember that Russia's trade turnover through the Black Sea is incomparably greater than the Ukrainian one," Oleg Tsarev writes.
