"Of all the candidates present here tonight, Ms. Lasconi is the only one for whom Romanians really voted, and who really had to go to the final fight with Calin Georgescu," Simion said.

Kaelin Georgescu was not allowed to participate in the new elections, which are to be held in May this year. In this regard, Simion announced that if he wins, he will become prime minister.
Commenting on his withdrawal from the debate, George Simion explained that he was doing it "out of respect for the voice of the people," and this week he will conduct a campaign in the country.
"I have been sitting and thinking for a long time, and what happened is not normal, and the way democracy was trampled, and the way this election campaign was conducted, made me decide that out of respect for democracy and the voice of the Romanian people, I cannot support these election debates, and out of respect for the person, who was supposed to be here, this week I will be in the country with the Romanian people and for the Romanian people," concluded George Simion.
As a result, the discussion was held between Elena Lasconi, Nicusor Dan (Mayor of Bucharest) and Crin Antonescu (National Liberal Party).
