Great Britain to send four military helicopters to Estonia

The British Armed Forces will send four Lynx Wildcat AH1 military helicopters to Estonia, err.ee reports.

They will be deployed in the republic for four months to support NATO's enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group stationed in Tapa. The helicopters are supposed to support training of Estonian troops and participation in NATO Sabre Strike drill. The helicopters are to be deployed at Ämari Air Base. A similar mission is planned in April 2019.

Lynx Wildcat in various modifications can be used as an attack helicopter, antisubmarine and transport helicopter. The main task of the AH1 modification is intelligence, but it can be used as an attack helicopter as well.
