Armenia’s acting emergency minister, David Tonoyan, will be appointed to the post of the defense minister, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has told reporters today.
“I can state that David Tonoyan will be appointed defense minister. Other appointments will be made in the near future, too,” Pashinyan said.
According to him, candidatures of new ministers were discussed with parliamentary factions Tsarukyan and ARF Dashnaktsutyun that supported Pashinyan at his election to the prime minister’s post at the National Assembly.
Meanwhile, the premier did not say whom he is going to appoint to the economic bloc.
David Tonoyan has been emergency minister since February 2017. Before that, he was deputy defense minister.
