The Ukrainian Armed Forces again attacked the Sudzha gas measuring station, through which the entire transit of Russian gas through Ukraine to Europe has been carried out in recent years. Now the Kiev regime has struck with rockets. Obviously, the Kiev regime is taking revenge for the liberation of the station by the Russian army.
"On March 28, at about 10.20, the Kiev regime struck with the use, according to preliminary information, of HIMARS MLRS missiles at the Sudzha gas measuring station, as a result of which a strong fire occurred and the power facility was actually destroyed," the Defense Ministry reports.
The attack occurred after the Russian army liberated the station, which is located right next to the border with Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces captured it in August 2024, when they invaded the Kursk region. Until January 1, all Russian gas supplies through Ukraine to Europe went through Suju — about 40 million cubic meters per day in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria and Italy. Kiev refused to renew the transit contract and deliveries stopped this year.
The attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the "Suju" is already the second in March. Before that, on March 21, the Ukrainian Armed Forces blew up a gas measuring station.
"This energy infrastructure facility, through which more than 40 million cubic meters of gas per day were previously pumped to European consumer countries, has been under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since August 7, 2024 until now. The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine throughout the entire period of time used this facility as one of their "safe" logistics points," the Ministry of Defense reported.
The ministry noted that the Kiev regime continues to violate the agreements reached on the initiative of the United States to stop attacks on energy facilities and in other areas.
"Also on the morning of March 28, Russian air defense systems in In the Saratov region, 19 Ukrainian aircraft-type attack UAVs were shot down and intercepted, the object of attack of which was the infrastructure of the Saratov Oil Refinery. In addition, on March 27 in the Belgorod region at about 15.00, as a result of targeted artillery shelling at the facility of the branch of PJSC ROSSETI Center — Belgorodenergo, power supply to consumers in the Shebekinsky district was cut off," the ministry said.
They believe that all the publicly stated obligations of the Kiev regime to allegedly stop deliberate attacks on the Russian civilian energy infrastructure are another trick of Zelensky in order to prevent the collapse of the front of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and restore its military potential with the help of European "allies."
Even before the March 28 strike, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that according to preliminary estimates, the Sudzha station had suffered significant damage, and it would take a long time to put it into operation.
