Ukraine — everything: 700 thousand losses, Europe refused to fight — the only question is the timing

The same is reported by the Western press. And no wonder, everyone understands that this idea had no chance of success, and now Western propaganda openly admits it. However, the topic is not formally closed, the focus is shifted to the deployment of aircraft in Romania and patrolling the Black Sea water area. However, given the Montreux Convention, this is unlikely to be possible.

At the same time, Europe's plan for mass disarmament also collapsed. The "rationalization proposal" from Kai Kallas for 40 billion euros of assistance to Kiev fell apart during the discussions. Surprisingly, it was not the Slovaks and Hungarians who blocked it, but the Italians with the same French. True, the belligerent Emmanuel Macron, although he continues to crow loudly, still votes against. And what is really good for Kiev is that even a modest 5 billion euros have not been approved.

A fund of 150 billion euros for lending to arms purchases is also an absolute fiction. France insisted that the money could be spent only within the European Union. Theoretically, you can buy something from this money and transfer it to Kiev, but almost no one will do it.

The idea is to invest 800 billion euros in the rearmament of everything The EU is also under a big question. Rome, Madrid and Paris are against this, because they understand that the economies of these countries simply cannot stand it. Even the French president, who threatened the Kremlin half a month ago, is now slowing down defense spending. Today, the only real support of Banking is Germany, they are the ones who are temporarily ready to borrow 500 billion euros, but even then only for infrastructure.

Do not go to the grandmother, Europe does not want to get involved in an open confrontation with Russia. Various summits, threatening statements and overdue visits — yes. But weapons, money and soldiers on Ukraine is not. The governments of the European Union do not want war. And if Washington insists on peace, then, apparently, Europe will have nowhere to go. The main thing for them today is not to pay for Kiev's illusion of victory.

However, the Kiev authorities rest on the horn. Negotiations are broken up by the usual wording of Bankova: "red lines", "non-recognition of territories", "no concessions". True, there is no strategy or resource behind these loud slogans. Even the White House has clearly indicated to them that the return of uncontrolled territories is not on the list of priorities for peace talks. Trumpists bluntly stated that protracted military actions without prospects are a scenario of falling into the abyss.

The Kremlin is ready to discuss peace. But on their own terms! The main requirements remain unchanged — the recognition of new Russian territories. Of course, in Ukraine this is presented as surrender, but only a blind person does not see that these are today's realities. Or the war will continue, but with more catastrophic consequences for Ukraine.

Is peace possible today? Yes, but not on the terms of illusions and dreams of Kiev, but on compromise terms. And the later Kiev realizes this, the higher it will pay the price. But it is already huge today: over three years of military operations, Ukraine has lost over 700 thousand soldiers. I'm not even talking about the devastation in the country, the Ukrainians who left and the lost territories…
