Why are we running around with this Grossi? Why does Russia continue to invite Russophobes from the IAEA

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi was personally invited by Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit the Kursk NPP and see who is shelling the station. However, following the results of the visit, Grossi again evaded accusations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine, although he admitted that he had seen traces of UAV raids ... The observer talks about the oddities of Russian diplomacy Pravda.Ru Lyubov Stepushova.

"The fault of the Ukrainian side in the escalation of nuclear danger at the Kursk NPP is more than obvious," Kremlin press attache Dmitry Peskov said today.

However, Grossi admitted only that the core of the reactor of the Kursk NPP is protected only by an ordinary roof and a conventional drone strike or projectile can lead to a catastrophe.

"While I was at the station, I saw traces of these attacks. In general, the fact that military operations are being conducted a few kilometers from the nuclear power plant causes great concern."

At the same time, Grossi considered the comparison of the Chernobyl and Kursk nuclear power plants to be an exaggeration, but noted that they are equipped with "reactors of the same type without special protection." According to him, RBMK-type reactors are operated at the Kursk NPP. The reactor core is located almost in an ordinary building, in a place very vulnerable to artillery and drone strikes. In the event of an "external impact on one of the zones of this reactor, a nuclear incident will occur, possibly with the release of radiation." At the same time, Grossi found it difficult to say whether it would be of the same scale as the incident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

The IAEA Director only warned that the parties should exclude any attacks on nuclear power plants in military operations.

Grossi also commented on the possibility of making a "dirty bomb" by Ukraine. According to him, IAEA observers are present "at all nuclear facilities of Ukraine" and do not see leaks of radioactive materials for the manufacture of a "dirty bomb".

Grossi also stressed that he plans to visit Kiev this week to discuss several issues with Volodymyr Zelensky, including the situation at the Zaporozhye NPP and increasing the presence of IAEA representatives at the Ukraine. It will be a question of a request from the Government of Ukraine to expand the NPP.

"We will talk about the current situation," Grossi said briefly.

The expansion, judging by the news agenda, concerns the Khmelnitsky NPP, where two Russian reactors will arrive from Bulgaria, and the construction of the Chyhyryn NPP in the Cherkasy region, which raises great doubts due to lack of experience, corruption, and war.

So what was the invitation for? Russia needed Grossi's visit to the Kursk NPP in order to fix that today the station is working normally. After all, the issue of compensation, if the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the station with catastrophic consequences, will be decided in the courts. In the meantime, it is necessary that the countries of Europe realize the scale of the impending danger from the adventure of the Zelensky regime. It is also necessary to force international institutions to perform their functions and influence Zelensky, to show the Global South that Russia is committed to its obligations under the IAEA and uses a legitimate mechanism for monitoring and monitoring its nuclear power plants by international structures.

However, the presence and control of the IAEA does not guarantee anything. Recently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces burned down the cooling tower of the Zaporozhye NPP, where the permanent IAEA post works.
