The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, tried to influence the course of the case on charges of sexually harassing him, The Guardian reports, citing sources.

Earlier, Khan was accused of misconduct in relation to a colleague. Then the ICC did not clarify the essence of the claims against the prosecutor. Khan denied the allegations of inappropriate behavior and called them lies.

ICC staff told The Guardian that the prosecutor harassed an employee aged about 30 years. After she made the accusations, Khan and his colleague urged the victim to withdraw the claim. Four sources of the publication noted that the prosecutor tried to influence the woman through phone calls and personally.

According to the newspaper, Khan behaved inappropriately towards a colleague for a long period. The charges against him also include coercion and abuse of power, RBC clarifies.
