US President-elect Donald Trump cannot negotiate over the Russian-Ukrainian conflict due to strict American legal norms, but after his inauguration, "we will feel the beneficial effect." This statement was made by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in a social network.

Orban spoke about his visit to Florida, where he met with Trump.

"If two people, two people, be it in In Europe or in America, if they sit down to talk to each other today, they will hardly be able to avoid talking about peace and war," the Hungarian prime minister said. However, he noted, official negotiations will begin only after the President-elect takes office.

Trump's inauguration will take place on January 20.

Trump explained that until the completion of the powers of President Joe Biden is not entitled to represent the United States.

The US president-elect promised to quickly end the Ukrainian conflict before the November elections, but in December he stressed that he would do it "if he could." He has not yet announced a plan to achieve peace, but said: Ukraine wants to achieve peace by making a deal. Trump expressed confidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin should also believe that "the time has come."
