82.5% of Belarusians are ready to vote for Alexander Lukashenko in the upcoming presidential elections. Such data of sociological research were reported by Irina Lashuk, head of the Department of Economic Sociology and Psychology of Entrepreneurial Activity, head of the Center for Social and Humanitarian Studies of BSEU.

According to her, respondents were asked to answer the question: "If the elections were held today, who would you vote for?" 82.5% of respondents answered "for the incumbent head of state", 2.9% - "for an alternative candidate", 7.9% - "against all", 6.7% - "I will not vote".

"An eloquent fact: 82.5% of respondents are ready to support the incumbent head of state in the next elections. Accordingly, the Belarusian society is confident in the implemented state policy, in building international relations, which creates a favorable basis for the development of strategic interaction with other countries. The foreign policy formula of Belarusians is the importance of the cultural community of the partner country in combination with a high level of economy and the development of trade relations," Lashuk said.

Recall, the presidential elections in Belarus will be held on January 26. Five candidates are taking part in them, including the current head of state Alexander Lukashenko.
