London will lead the mission to send peacekeepers to Ukraine — Telegraph

The UK will lead a joint mission with France to send peacekeeping forces to Ukraine after the end of the conflict. It is reported by the Telegraph newspaper, citing a high-ranking source in the British army.

"British troops can and will lead a peacekeeping mission on Ukraine," the publication says, quoted by <url>.

The UK is in a strong enough position to become the head of the mission, if one really takes place, the source said. But, he noted, although sending forces is being considered, no "deep military planning" has been carried out yet.

Earlier it was reported that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron are secretly discussing sending their troops to Ukraine.

As EADaily reported, Starmer today paid his first official visit to Kiev as prime minister. The drone "Shahed" (so on Ukraine is called the Russian kamikaze drone "Geranium-2") flew near the meeting place of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the head of the Kiev regime in Ladimir Zelensky in Kiev.
